Online Casinos Strategies - Beer Company Purchases Online Casinos

In recent online casino news, Gold Reef Casino Resorts, which runs several major online casinos has ended talks with SABMiller beer. Gold Reef, which operates several online casinos, was interested in buying out SABMiller’s stake in Tsogo Sun Holdings, another online casinos operator. The SABMiller brewery holds a 49% stake Tsogo Sun Holdings, and Gold Reef is trying to buy out a portion of that stake from SABMiller. It’s all big business when it comes to online casinos.

SABMiller has stated that its stake in Tsogo Sun, the online casinos operator, is not for sale, but yet Gold Reef has expressed a serious interest in buying out the online gaming companies shares from SABMiller. Since Tsogo Sun is not considered part of the brewing giant’s core business, the assumption is that it was up for sale.

A Gold Reef spokesperson commented on the failed purchase: “In order to submit a firm offer to SABMiller for its interest, Gold Reef online casinos requested certain information from SABMiller to finalize its indicative valuation and to carry out a high-level due diligence. In response, SABMiller has notified Gold Reef online casinos that it is not a seller of its 49% interest in Tsogo Sun and therefore discussions between Gold Reef and SABMiller have ceased.”
